This website for younger students introduces Meiji Japan from the perspectives of three generations of a fictional family, the Nakamuras, who are depicted as manga characters. The following topics are covered: 1) The Go Game (The Emperor, The Samurai, Politics, Industry, Religions); 2) The Western Parlor (Furniture, Education, Wedding Ceremony); 3) The Japanese Parlor (Decorative Arts, Tea Ceremony, etc.); 4) Ginza (Architecture, Transportation, Fashion, etc.); 5) Sumo.
